Our Story

Our Super Sweet Love Story

Tinder .... Thank you Tinder!

Christopher was starting a new phase in life, and Angela was bored at work one day.

Angela's friend had a Tinder account and thought it looked like fun looking at pictures and swiping left and right. So, in her boredom, she made an account.

About 2 weeks went by and suddenly a picture came up of a man with the most gorgeous eyes that Angela had ever seen. Immediately, a swipe to the right happened and a message popped up saying "You're A Match" ..... conversation happened almost immediately.

A first date was set up for about a week later. Angela did not want him to know where she lived, so she made him pick her up down the street on the curb! All precautions were taken, Angela gave every detail to one of her best friends; his car make, model, color and license plate. His name, job and phone number; just in case she went missing.

The first date was very classy; a brewery (Societe Brewing), his choice .... Beers, conversation and nachos.

After the brewery; Angela's choice .... a dive bar (Boars Crossing) for some dancing and the Tuesday night special, a beer and a shot for $2.00.

The dates continued and they moved in together quickly; probably about 2 months later. They just wanted to always be together and so they were.

How did it become official? Christopher changed the relationship status on their Facebooks to "in a relationship" and Angela found out when she arrived to work. Again, very classy!

The first I love you? That came from Angela .... on accident. It was quickly revoked with a "no wait, I didn't mean that!" Freudian slip? .... Yeah probably, but that's ok, the blame goes to the rum and cokes Angela had previously in the night.! Again, classy!

The next 10 years were filled with a little bit of everything ... joy, pain, sunshine and rain!

There is a saying that opposites attract ....

- Christopher is the calm, Angela is the storm.

- Christopher is the optimist, Angela is the pessimist.

- Christopher is affectionate, Angela squirms from it.

- Christopher goes with the flow, Angela needs a plan.

- Christopher is organized, Angela is organized chaos.

- Christopher loves to cook, Angela prefers not to.

- Christopher loves outdoors, Angela wants to be inside.

However ....

- they both love unconditionally.

- they both love family.

- they don't live 50/50, they know some days they have to carry the other person.

- they balance each other out.

Do they wish they had found each other earlier in life? Of course, you can never have enough time with your love. But, every detail of their pasts were preparing them for each other. Preparing them to know what a relationship needed in order to work. Preparing themselves as individuals so they both knew what their individual boundaries were.

God's timing was right on time!
